"a temporary architecture"

Anti-House is an organization created to facilitate, articulate, and amplify the artistic projects of Luísa Mota within community contexts.

More than a conventional structure, Anti-House operates as a situated platform for artistic action — a “temporary architecture” that prioritizes displacement, listening, and the reconfiguration of social bonds.

The organization works through collaborative formats developed with artists, cultural agents, and professionals engaged in social and educational practices, adapting form and scale to each context.

Grounded in participatory art practices and critical inquiry, Anti-House develops projects that explore how social bonds are formed, disrupted, and reconfigured within collective systems. Its work engages with unspoken dynamics, roles, and structures that shape how groups relate, collaborate, and belong.

Through situated artistic processes, Anti-House creates conditions for reflection, experimentation, and the re-imagining of relationships across social, educational, and institutional contexts.

Address

Based in Porto (PT) and operating nomadically and internationally, Anti-House proposes a mode of operating that moves between the intimate and the collective, between routine and ritual, and between art and lived experience.
